Allards International are able to carry out the mechanical design to most international pressure vessel codes including:

EN13445, PD5500, ASME VIII Div. 1 & Div.2, DNV-OS-E201, AD2000, Compliance with NORSOK, TEMA and PD2014/68/EU

These mechanical calculations are performed using a variety of software including VVD Intergraph, Compress, ANSYS and F.E.A.

In addition to the strength calculations, when required, we also carry out seismic (earthquake) calculations and wind load calculations. All our drawings are produced using CAD software.


Allards International is able to assist with feasibility studies by providing heat transfer expertise to process engineers to assist with heat exchanger selection and budget sizing and costing. By involving our thermal engineers at an early stage in plant design we are able to recommend the best solution for the process, minimising costs and timescales.

Allards can also assist material strength calculations, drawing modifications and any other design requirements.

We can also provide finite element analysis of materials to check for any weakening in materials used.
